Free Character Models and Character rigging 

with The Setup Machine for Games

Animating characters and creatures that you enjoy is not always an option on the job, but when you are working on your skills and fleshing out your tool set in your spare time, you have more control over the scenes you animate.  Finding rigs that you want to work with can be a challenge, so setting up your own collection of characters might be something you want to look into. 

Being able to set up your own rigs is not only satisfying but the broader your skill set the more easily you can solve animation problems that will crop up, and they will crop up. Because information is power, you can't go wrong with pushing yourself to learn new things, that way you will gain the power to stay employed or to land that animating gig you have been dreaming about.

All animators have questions, it is my hope that as I am asking questions and seeking answers, I may be able to help some others along the way.
